In this page, I have tried to provide some guidance and pointers to parents whose child has recently been identified with a hearing loss and who are searching for answers. Some of the information might be useful to all parents of hearing-impaired children. The information provided here is one person's point of view, reflecting my training, experience, and philosophy. I urge you to learn everything you can about your child's hearing loss and the costs and benefits of different options.

To the left are some strategies for First Steps.  In the FAQ section, you will find basic information about hearing tests and amplification devices. For those of you struggling to keep on an implant or a hearing aid,  look at the tips and tricks for ideas.
