Volunteer Opportunities

Administrative Assistance:
-Assisting with the day to day administrative duties such as typing correspondence, answering phones, copying, faxing, filing, preparing mailers, compiling and organizing data, preparing reports, scheduling appointments.
Time Commitment: Flexible 3 - 8 hours per week (during weekdays)
Teacher Aide:
- Assisting teachers during class, organizing and compiling therapy material, organizing and compiling school materials, filing, faxing, typing correspondence, assisting children with school work, and assisting teachers with school projects, inventory of school supplies and therapy materials
Time Commitment: Flexible 3-8 hours per week (during weekdays)
Web Designer:
-Updating our website and organizing and compiling website information
Time Commitment: Hours vary per project (estimated 3-8 hours per project) Work can be done in office or from home.
Graphic Designer:
-Assisting with development of brochures, newsletters, flyers and any other publications or special projects.
Time Commitment: Hours vary per project (estimated 3-8 hours per project) Work can be done in office or from home.
Grant Writer Assistant:
-Assisting our development coordinator with grant proposals, researching and compiling foundation information
Time Commitment: Flexible 3-8 hours per week
Public Relations:
-Marketing and advocating Chattering Children in the community. Contacting local businesses and organizations about fundraising events and volunteer opportunities. Preparing press release information for local newspapers, magazines and radio stations. Organizing and scheduling presentations with local business and clubs.
Time Commitment: Flexible 3-8 hours per week. Work can be done in office or from home.
Research:
-Researching internet resources, compiling and organizing data, preparing reports
Time Commitment: Flexible 3-8 hours per week. Work can be done in office or from home.
Oral Deaf Education:
-students studying or experienced in this field. Special projects, research, organizing and compiling therapy and educational materials.
Time Commitment: Flexible 3-8 hours per week.
Special Projects -Annual 2007 Golf Tournament:
Approaching local business and restaurants for donations for the auction, contact businesses regarding sponsorship of golf tournament, assisting coordination and set-up of event, distributing brochures, recruiting golfers, helping to advertise event.
Time Commitment: Flexible hours. Will vary according to task.
